Terms of Service

1. Using Standby

Standby offers theme-park information, alerts, visit tools, and Booking Assist. Kinetics Automation LLC operates the app, website, and related services. By using them, you agree to these terms.

You must be at least 13 to use Standby, with a parent or guardian’s agreement if you are not yet a legal adult. You must be at least 18, or the age of adulthood where you live, to purchase or use Booking Assist.

Standby is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Disney or any other theme-park operator. Features and supported parks may change.

2. Booking Assist

Booking Assist helps manage supported Lightning Lane selections based on your choices. By connecting Disney and starting a request, you allow Standby to access the relevant party and booking information and make the booking changes you request, including cancellations when selected. You must have permission to manage plans and share information for everyone you include.

You are responsible for valid park admission, any required reservations, and separately purchased Lightning Lane access. Booking Assist does not buy these for you or make your initial advance or 7:00 a.m. Multi Pass selections.

Disney controls availability and eligibility. Bookings are not guaranteed, and information or actions may be delayed or unsuccessful. Always check your plans in My Disney Experience. Removing a plan from Standby does not always cancel it with Disney; follow the confirmation shown in the app.

3. Purchases and subscriptions

Prices, access periods, activation rules, and renewal terms are shown before you buy. Today access ends at midnight Eastern on the activation date. 7 Days covers that date and the next six Eastern dates. Neither renews automatically.

Annual Premium and annual Booking Assist subscriptions renew yearly unless canceled. The purchase screen shows the billing provider, price, and renewal terms before you buy.

Choose your purchase in the Standby app. Apple or Stripe handles payments, depending on the purchase option available to you. Manage Apple subscriptions through Apple and direct annual subscriptions through the customer portal in Standby Settings.

Refunds depend on the purchase terms and applicable law. Refunded, reversed, or disputed payments may lead to loss of access. Purchases cover Standby access only, not park admission or other third-party products.

4. Your responsibilities

Keep your device secure, provide accurate information, and follow the rules of services you connect. You can disconnect Disney in the app; an action already underway may need to finish first.

Do not misuse Standby, bypass security or payment controls, interfere with the service, access another person’s information without permission, or use unauthorized automation. Do not copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or resell the service except where the law allows it.

Our software, design, and original content belong to us or our licensors. Other brands belong to their owners. We may use feedback you send without payment.

5. Service limits

Wait times, notifications, bookings, and other information may be inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable. We provide Standby as available, without promises of uninterrupted service, accuracy, or a particular result, to the extent the law allows.

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, missed or changed reservations, third-party failures, or service interruptions. Our total liability is limited to what you paid for the affected service in the previous 12 months. These limits do not remove protections or remedies the law gives you.

You can stop using Standby at any time. We may suspend or end access for misuse, security issues, nonpayment, legal or platform requirements, or discontinued features. Refund rights still follow the purchase terms and applicable law.

6. Other terms

Florida law applies to these terms. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally go to a court in Florida, unless local law gives you another option. Your mandatory consumer rights remain protected. These terms do not require arbitration.

If you download Standby through Apple, Apple’s standard app license applies unless Apple presents a different one. Apple does not operate or support Standby.

We may update these terms and will post the new version and effective date. Changes apply going forward, with additional notice for significant changes when appropriate or required.
